Artist Bio

Influences:   Bluegrass, blues, folk, pop and classical, and other stuff

I'm a food scientist who writes music every February. Usually short, simple cheesy love songs, songs based around old stories, and occasionally something instrumental. I'm a parent of a one year old human and six year old dog. I'm also trans and newly out, started medically transitioning to female in 2021. This year I'll be trying to reflect a little more on what this gender transition has meant to me along with the usual songs about love and the bible. They/she.

Mostly voice, guitar and guitar-like things but starting to play some piano too. I like music theory, folk, prog, blues, and bluegrass. I appreciate the listens and the feedback. I may not reply with a thanks to your soundboard, instead, I'd rather read and hear your work and share a comment there.

I try and polish some of the good ones and from years past and share them here: https://leecadesky.bandcamp.com/

Thank you, Lee. It was a pleasure getting to know your music. Look forward to more next year or at 50/90.

Lee - I just listened to your song If I Were a Mother, which reminded me that you were new to the world of parenting. I thought you might enjoy (Then One Day They're) Gone https://fawm.org/songs/135327/

I would like to thank you soooo much for your wonderful words on "Yugoslavia"! You are so kind...

  • @saulius Feb 2022

Thanks for your comment on my song Mercedes. I hadn't thought about 10cc. And congrats on your 14!! I'm definitely not in the running for that this year, but it's all good. Thanks again, for your music, and your kind words!!

  • @cindyrella  Feb 2022

Thanks and that's a great idea. Hmmm honeymoon..

Thank you for the comment on my Missus song! ;) I'm not really sure what to do with my voice, I'm no singer so I tend to do the spoken thing. And yes, the missus is indeed a great lady ;) (and was tickled to no end that comments showed up on the song!)

  • @grenzgaengerin Feb 2022

Thank you very much for your kind comment on "Es ist nie zu spät"

  • @nancycunning  Feb 2022

I've enjoyed listening to your songs, and I thought about them and about your journey and wondered whether you might enjoy the lyrics that @grenzgaengerin posted. They're in German, but the key phrase means It's Never Too Late to Have a Happy Childhood. To me they feel like they belong on the same playlist as your song The Feeling. I liked them so much I had to record them. Here's the collaboration https://fawm.org/songs/132183/

Appreciate the comment on "The Secret Lab". I'm miserable and totally drained of motivation right now so it helps. Thanks

  • @andrewrusse Feb 2022

Thanks for the listen. And for noticing the typo!! I needed to put my glasses on to even see what you meant LOL

  • @mikeb  Feb 2022

Thanks for the listen and comment on my collab with Tams, 'We Don't Have a Clue'!

  • @nancycunning  Feb 2022

Thank you for responding to Head Over Heart Broke.

@bobjestes created a beautiful collaboration based on those lyrics at https://fawm.org/songs/131388/

Oh, I like the title "Unfinished". I think it would work great on an album. If it were mine, I'd temporarily re-title the FAWM post and put the real title in the post. But it's your call and your very nice song, so do what will make you happiest.

You know, with all the avatars gone this year, it's your crocoduck I'm missing the most. Little guy always made me smile. Pleased to see you back and all the best with the transition.

  • @cindyrella  Feb 2022

Thanks and yes that could be repeated.

  • @cairobraga  Feb 2022

  • @saulius Feb 2022

Thanks for sharing your story with us. It gives me a flicker of hope, and a much needed kick in the ass, to witness that kind of courage and integrity, especially in these times.

  • @frenchcricket  Feb 2022
