Me & my voice, a ukulele, sometimes a banjo, xylophone. Random toys & objects. Collected noises. Aliens. I may allow myself to work on some old projects if you'll forgive me. I haven't given myself much time for this side of me in the last 6 years or so, so a lot of ideas just kinda sat.

I'm really trying to jump-start my creativity in every way. I'm continuing a conversation about creativity and what makes it tick, not just process but the whole why of it. Everybody has their own reasons and that's super interesting to me. Join me! Why do you make things?

I made this from a few of the songs I did for FAWM 2014 (this is 6 years old now, ) https://kendrakinsey.bandcamp.com/album/construction-demolition

2022! I’m sticking around to listen more in March and maybe finish some recordings!
Mar 22 -- I'm back to listen! Wow, did anyone else burn out hard?

Find me on Instagram and let’s inspire each other to create all year! @nestnebula ^_^

Hey you're welcome and thanks for the listens yourself! I hope to hear more music from you!

  • @sunnymae  Feb 2022

thanks for stopping by kendra and taking a listen to "are you listening" my first fruits song. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and yeah, there's something really nice about writing an invocation for oneself at the onset. Looking forward to lots more listening time, now that we're just about done. Congrats on your wonderful creations this year!

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thanks a lot for your comments on "Skyscraper" and "Dorian Gray". I'm glad you enjoyed these songs.
I read Dorian Gray some years ago and enjoyed it. Somehow I didn't understand why most songs were ballads. This character is insane and deserves a metal song!

  • @nateger  Feb 2022

You're comments made my heart so happy! I appreciate you listening to my tunes :)

  • @jdschramm Feb 2022

  • @melaniepegge Feb 2022

Thanks for your comment on my song. You've inspired me to have a go at writing a Haiku!

  • @ineloquentsd  Feb 2022

Thank you so much for your comment on “Undone Ouroboros.” <3

  • @dukongp100 Feb 2022

Thank u for your comment on zenbrudda :-))

  • @yam655  Feb 2022

For the novel writers, I describe my songwriting process as "pantsing with my mouth."

The weird part is that it ever stops sounding like stream of consciousness. ;)

  • @kendrakinsey  Feb 2022

    @yam655 accident! Thanks!!

  • @yam655  Feb 2022

"limbs & dreams" doesn't have a demo! (And as it has no words, it seems like it should.)

  • @ineloquentsd  Feb 2022

Thank you for your kind comments on “Silver” and “Oh Sisyphus”!

  • @liz561  Feb 2022

Thanks so much for your comments on Body and Soul. I really enjoyed going between the minor and major-a first for me. I see you are a uker too!

  • @nikopee Feb 2022

Thanks for the comment! I hope I'll learn to play the song(s) for real some day.

  • @petemurphy  Feb 2022

Hello! Yes, I discovered cut ups last year when I worked with a spoken word artist called Dr Vanessa Sinclair. I instantly fell in love with it. I'm not familiar with Tanya Davis or Ken Nordine, but I will look them up. I noticed Alela Diane in your influences list. I love the album she made called "About Farewell".
I like some hip hop stuff, mainly the more experimental artists.
And yes, you're more than welcome to contribute something to the collab project I'm doing.
    Wishing you all the best!
