What's new? Life is crazy, man. I don't really know what's up or down anymore but I'm good. I unexpectedly have more time on my hands after a torn knee a few weeks ago, but I'm also working multiple new jobs so I have no idea how much I'll be able to do this year. I've barely touched any music at all in the past couple of years. That's weird to say.
Goals? I have no idea. Apparently I'm a French Horn now, so that could mean anything is possible! Let's see what happens.
Much love.
End-of-FAWM-Thoughts: Wow, what a month. After several years running of not hitting 14, I finally did it again! I feel pretty good about that, especially because life has been challenging and I had zero inspiration coming into the month. I pushed myself into new musical and genre territory and had to get extra creative and resourceful with very few instruments or gear available to me. I'm always so grateful for this community and I'm so glad my torn knee happened right before February so I could have something fun and awesome to do. I'm really looking forward to catching up on listening and commenting and I hope to return a comment for every one received. Cheers to all who participated this year!

Hello Jacob, thx for the listen. I play with a band called the Mau Mau Chaplains in Austin. Other than that, not sure. Nice job on the FAWM!
Hey, thanks for listening to my happy dorky littIe tune Lazy Morning!
Hi. I like your work (and your voice) Would you be interested to participate as guest vocalist on some of mine and Bithprod's songs? Perhaps starting with Come on Dream? I think your voice would suit that song perfectly.
Thank you for commenting on I Wish I Was on TV. Appreciate it!! Btw I just posted a demo for it.
Hey there! Yeah go for it on Hot Honey ! I would love to hear your voice on that! Thanks for your interest. I’m so intrigued
Thanks for checking out my song :)
Thanks for the kind words on Lazy Morning!
Shoot me a lyric sheet with chords
I hear you. Have you had any further interaction with Billy Smiley?

Jacob, shall I assume no further inspiration occurred?
Jacobeverettwallace, Thanks for your comment on my song, Don't Use Force. So glad you enjoyed it. Sorry I haven't had time to do many demos. I'll try to get more done next week and look/listen to what other folks are coming up with.
Thanks for your lovely comments on "Complicated Corners" :)
Cool
Thanks for listening/commenting on Clear Eyes! Expecting anything from you soon? Waiting with bated breath… been enjoying your stuff this FAWM!
Jacob, just checking in to see if the co-write/collab is going to work out. If not then I’m going to give it a go solo. Let me know.
Thanks for your kind comments on "Be There for Me"!
#hornsgoingham Check.
Technically... "a horn." ;)
And more "fun and swinging" than "going ham." Haha.
I put up a recording of “Holding the Dustpan” if you want to hear it…
I can totally teach you how to play that fuzz style. Super simple
Sure, sounds fun, I'm in! You can shoot me an email at hannah at hannahbusse.com with any details. Thanks for thinking of me :)
Thanks for the comment on Abracadabra Land. I'm curious what you imagined, because when I first read the lyrics I was completely at a loss. Then an approach came to me, but I'm not sure it was really the right one. But what would be the right one? Punk? Vaudeville? Psychedelia? It was kind of a hard one for me.
Get that knee healed up!! (and order some more take-out!) ;)
I am hoping that I come up with something that you can collab with me on. The one we did is still a fav! :)
Thanks for the nice comments on our song!
Thanks for your lovely comments on our song! It's somewhat different to our others :)
Thank you for your kind remarks regarding Coffee Gang
Glad you liked the reversion of the LeahLeah song! We've actually done two other collabs in the past. One from a few FAWM's ago and one from one of my albums. :) I had so much fun working on that song. you can find them here: https://soundcloud.com/djkennetha/out?si=2392250f7c974b9a9b788cd6061576a6&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing ) and here (https://soundcloud.com/djkennetha/like-the-ocean-feat-leahleah?si=92f4c91ca26646f9a72ac3853d25da6e&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)
Jacob! Thanks for the input- It's funny you should say that, I started out Feb 1st in Cubase trying to record this same thing with a great Spitfire LABS warm soft piano, and wound up unable to figure out how to do a bunch of things within that program, so I remembered Garage Band was already in this computer and went there instead to record it just to be done with it! Can you also import those keys into Garage Band? I guess I should give that a try, I didn't even think about that. I'm very new to DAW recording. (I think that's what this is called?)
(Coming over from my old ZoomMRS1680)
I will eventually be learning Cubase, but it's turning out to be quite the process and a bit overwhelming when I'm just trying to work on writing. But! I think it's cool you brought that up - confirming the keys I really want to use! haha! Glad you see you're here too, heading on over for a listen right now :-)
I would like to thank you sooooo much for your kind comment!
Hey! Thank you so much for coming by to listen, and your lovely comment. Great to see you here! :)
Great story about the vanilla gal. When we post stuff here, we never know how it will resonate with others, do we? Part of the fun!
Thanks for commenting on Where To Begin. It may be worth coming back to as I like all the parts, but prefer a more stripped back version if that’s possible.
So glad to see that you're here this year!
What's up my man! Good to see you! Let's get it started.
Happy fawm! Good to see u this year!
Can’t wait to hear your songs as I didn’t get to hear many last year. I hope everything was ok and it was just because you were too busy.
Good luck!
Hey there Jacob!! It’s really nice to hear from you. How are things going with you? You were dealing with the fires and had lots of changes, so what does your life look like now? A wonderful FAWM to you! I’ll be listening….
Shoot me some words!
SO nice to see your message! I hope your knee heals up quick. And I TOTALLY hear you about music. I've barely played at all for two years either. But hey, we're here. Let's just see what happens. Sending you good vibes! French Horns are amazing. I don't even know what this pedal that has now morphed into some strange smiling duck or platypus face in my brain now is!! HAHA. But, it's cool. I'm just happy to be here. And I'm happy you are too. Have some fun if you have time!
WHOA!! Hey!!! Great to see you here! I can't wait to hear more from you. :)
Hey matey lets be having ya ;-)
Hey there Jacob! I hope you are back at it for 2022. Have a great FAWM.
Hey you around..hope so,
Hope you're doing this, Jacob!
Jacob welcome back! Maybe we can coax a co-write ?
