FAWM number 16 for me!
I don't need people to thank me for song comments or even reciprocate. I go with a pay-it-forward kind of thing.
I do love to collaborate. That said, over the past few years, I've found myself getting overwhelmed as FAWM goes on, so am trying to be a bit more careful what I agree to do, in order to avoid letting people down. If you want to collaborate, please do ask, but please don't be offended if I decline.
I'm in 2 all-fawmer bands with @expendablefriend, @stewartscissor and @orinoco.

How busy have you been - I keep seeing your name on all kinds of collabs! I guess FAWM is a bit of an echo chamber and a small group within a group has been created, I like this group and I guess I found it by my listening choices.. it's a good system. It may even spawn an American tour?! :)
Gig swap etc. I'll email you some contact stuff :)
just went and heard French postcard - great, seems liek weeks ago you were reminding me of the Gymslips with Ambushed by Cake. Do come and play Southampton if you can, we'll put a gig on for you and find you somewhere to stay.
thanks - Kraftwerk song, yup that was the idea, and the lyrics were written by a German using google translate, so are super quirky - in other news I DID 14! boom, and rest!
Eleven years ago, I wrote this song waiting for someone to get it. https://www.johnnycashpoint.com/johnny-cashpoint_i-know-i-m-weird.mp3. I don't feel so alone now, though I did already knew that :) xxJ$
Woah you're all done, congrats!!!
I would like to thank you so much for your kind words...
It's yours. Looking forward to the fruits of your labour (speaking of all that grows)
thanks for you comment on Beautiful eyes @helenseviltwin !
Glad you liked my Semi-Trad take on Stephen's excellent "Hang them All"
Thank you for your kind comments on The Ribbon Song.
Hey, thanks for your comment on 'The Ribbon Song.' Really appreciate it :)
It is absolutely true that there are seven pizza regions, in a number of ways. One of which is that when I pick up a pizza (usually 8 pieces), I eat one on the way home. When I arrive at home, there are seven pizza regions left. ;) I think Steve just had a typo and actually meant pizza.
thanks for your comment on 'let me out'! much appreciated. As for the mic, it would be a great improvement if I had one =D but yeah, agreed.
Oh you are too kind. I’ve fiddled with what I want. I have asked my brother to do it on trombone, but if he can’t, I will shoot it over. Cheers!!
Thanks for the heads-up on my mangled demo.
So sweet of you. I’d be happy to make a weekend-morning-album!
I couldn't possibly disagree! IC were great, if a bit clunky. It wasn't meant as a disparaging comment, just a reflection on what I heard. As ever, a lovely song. Hey, I even got Chips to comment on a song!
zecoop provided the energy and I think 'not quite ska' is also 'not quite soul' :)
ah yes ! I love me a bit of Twin Peak !! :-) I'll have to try that combo ! :-)
Thanks for listening to The Luck Will Follow. ! Yes I too, had the knee jerk reaction to add hormones, but I felt it would take the intimacy of the moment away? Looking forward to going through and listening to your tunes properly!
Thanks for the feedback on my new tune! That was the first time I tried a fade-out, I'll make it longer next time, haha :)
Richard Simmons is/was a health guru in the US that gave and gave and gave of himself for 40 years, and then one day had enough and more or less disappeared. Then someone made a podcast trying to "find him" and he was like, "I'm at home, I just don't wanna be bothered."
Thanks for your thoughtful comment.
I mean, well, the song showed up and we all respect the song, right? Just finished the drums. :)
Song in the works for you. Idea popped into my head and it is moving along nicely. Should have something for you tonight or tomorrow at the latest. :)
Love your stuff. I am also looking to collaborate occasionally. Could go either way/ music or lyrics. I can go lectric or coustic. But wither way, Rock on.
hey Helen, just checking in to see if you're still interested in playing some clarinet? if so, I will (try to) start to write something suitable and demo it. how should I contact you, the email above? thanks, rock on!
I'm using some pitch-shifting and different EQs to get that vocoder effect in Reaper - still getting to know that DAW and what it can do!
Ambushed by cake is even better on day 2, just played it out at work - it's really great.
thanks for reviewing my song too. My words are often 20% what I'm actually thinking about, 40% stuff that rhymes and 40% stuff that happens in the space in between. There's definitely an Easter (Jesus getting alive again) thing going on, yep and more Jesus in the bread of life, the Beatles replace the apostles (buses replace trains). Marlene Dietrich?! random. Had a fairly shit day at work and this was fun.
omg it's confusing - jumping from my profile and back here to send you the next bit?
We'll be happy to put a show on for you.
Is this where I reply?
Just realised I was talking n a comments box? Newbie, Power point presentation! This is so great.. there was a band called the Gymslips who I loved and you lot sound like them - come and play in Southampton sometime
Thank, you. I'm happy to be back. I've missed all of you. : )
Yes, ma'am. At last.
Ready Steady ........... GO!
Will try write something with clarinet in mind and get in touch, speak then and happy fawming : )
Glad to see you back this fine FAWM!
Eye C U
Yo!

Oh you are the best...love all your work and looking forward to hearing this years offerings...cheers!
Good to see you on the Zoom last week, even just for a work meeting. Happy we get to FAWM together again this year!
Hey! Hope you have a good FAWM
Helen! Hi.
Hi Helen! You have piqued my interest with this comment, "it is both epically crap and wonderful in equal measures" :)
LOVE your influences--rock this FAWM new friend!!
Folk sounds great! :)
Awesome! I'd love to write lyrics for some backing tracks if that's alright with you :). So nice connecting!
Hey there! Would love to collaborate some time or just have a chat :)
Helloooo to you! I hope that you are well and, as always, I’m looking forward to hearing your music again! What do you think….more rock or electronic this time around? Either way and anything in between will be great as usual! Best wishes to you!
The Seville Twin!
But are they the good twin, or the barbarous one?
Give 'em Helen this Feb.
Hey H!
*waves from over the water*
