Thanks for taking time time to comment on "Betty's Getting Ready" -- so glad you enjoyed it!

thank you for your lovely comment ;-)

Aargh, had a blackout today amongst other frustrating things including a computer crash that wiped my freshly edited vocal and bass track. But as soon as the power came back on I put in the hard yards til 1am. I hope you like my interpretation.

Hey there, just letting you know that I wrote some music for invisible string. I’m going to record it tomorrow, but I wanted to check first if it’s ok to make a couple of tiny lyric tweaks so that it scans better for the structure that’s evolved. Nothing that changes any of the meaning or the poetry, but I’m going to email you the lyric just to check that that’s ok. It’s barely changed - mostly a few contractions added to make it more singable and one of the ‘we are bounds’ has been contracted slightly. I’ll send you the audio once I get it together and you can let me know if you are happy for me to post it. :)

Hey there! Thanks for checking in and listening! I am going to be posting your song in the next day or two. I just didn't have a chance to do anything extra this weekend, as WHOA it was busy. Great, but busy. I also noticed that you had some interest in a song that I did early in the month, but I just didn't see it then. If you want to, you are more than welcome to sing on that one. You have the VIP status, as far as I am concerned. I will be back to check out some more of yours! I'm also going to give you a call at some point, if that works.

Thank you for the comments to Elfenwiese. I'm glad you liked it.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 2022

Oh by all means, do it! I was pretty much in the exact mindset....

  • @zecoop  Feb 2022

The last one is the most ‘song structure’ based and would easily go right into a song although I know very well that all of these lyrics could be amazing songs. That was the thing with each melody you came up with - they were unexpected, not ‘typical’ and worked perfectly. I haven’t really posted many instrumental songs yet, but I will. I am also hoping to compose with your lyrics in front of me. But no pressure… (saying that to me as much as you)

  • @cloudhopper Feb 2022

thank you for your kind comment on my song : honor the weary traveler

  • @gilhari  Feb 2022

On Lata Mangeshkar’s passing today feeling a great loss to the artistic community. RIP om shanti

  • @zecoop  Feb 2022

I *almost* went to listen, but then reconsidered. Every one I read I am thinking... ooh, I should try to make music for this. We shall see. :)

Btw, supposed to talk with A in a little bit this afternoon. Finally, I don't screw up the communication lines and forget! (not yet that is)

  • @apolez3  Feb 2022

ty- just did so much more re-editing on ‘duct tape again’ and seem to be going back and back changing some things lolz,,

  • @apolez3  Feb 2022

Thanks for your comment on 'Duct Tape' after re-reading again I switched the word Joke for Fairytale Rhyme in the Chorus... hmmm

  • @timfatchen  Feb 2022

meant to add: in the local Ngarrindjeri dialect of Yaldari, "Kya hai" is a shout of excitement, "look out!' or "yahoo" or "gotcha" out fishing!

  • @timfatchen  Feb 2022

Re the Hindi: so rusty. Once I was conversationally fluent but that was back in the '90s. And I never learnt to read properly. My Indian friends (Kolkata, for a while my domicile) tell me I should pick it up again. Under stress, it still rises rises unbidden, usually when overseas I've been trying to phrasebook-communicate with someone with no English. Something clicks and the question/request/purchase order or query comes out in Hindi. कोई बात नहीं
