Hi Geoff! I don’t think I will finish Black Rose before FAWM ends. I have my ideas sketched out, but no energy to follow through yet! I’ll email you an MP3 sometime before 50/90. Great work this February!! Keep writing…
The song with Leah took my breath away. One of my favs this fawm. Well done, Geoff! Hope to see you during 50/90!!
I loved Rosy! Great workl
Hi, Geoff! Yes, I'd be interested in a collab. You'd actually agreed to let me do "The War is Coming" about a week ago, but I now see jackketch put out a version, so I'll look through your other lyrics and see if anything calls to me!
Thanks for your kind comments on "Beyond the Gate" and "Be There for Me"!
Thanks, Geoff, for checking out my take on Doug's "Somewhere East of Nashville".
Wow, Geoff! FAWM is definitely agreeing with you. (-:
Hope you enjoy my interpretation….
Thanks, Geoff, for your positive and thoughtful comments on Window To My Soul.
I have already figured out chords and a tune for “Beating Heart”….Will record in the next day or so…
Which would you rather I do: “When it Comes to Love” or “Take this Beating Heart With You”? I can go either way.
Thanks, kindly, Geoff, for the kind words on Window To My Soul.
Man, you're cranking 'em out. That keyboard is red hot!
Hi Geoff,
Thanks for your comments on my Get Home To You lyrics. And for the suggestion - good idea!
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Two for the Road'!
Would love to work with you…any ideas of a lyric you feel would work well with my styling?
A private party in March not sure after that but I can let you know. recording this weekend. Session cancelled from LAST JANUARY!
hhmmm time is not my friend at the moment pity! my last album was all Leonard Cohen, waits style songs. i usually sing that style at gigs! probably why i was so taken by it

The next challenge is to write a song/lyric with Crazy lyrics: less than 90 words!... Crazy, I'm
crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm
crazy,
crazy for feeling so blue
I knew you'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you'd leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering what in the world did I do?
Crazy for thinking that my love could hold you
I'm
crazy for trying and
crazy for crying
And I'm
crazy for loving you
Wow, thanks for the kind words about my vocals! And the offer to sing your lyrics. Actually, if you’re interested I think I might have a tune in mind for Rosy is My View - mind if I have a go at setting it to music?
Thanks for letting me have a go at "I Should Have Seen It Coming", Geoff.
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Burnt Orchid'!
Thanks for the comments on Under a Darkening Sky. Saw an old nylon stocking on the ground while I was walking my dog and bam! the lyrics started coming. Looking forward to what Andy Balham does with it.
Thanks for sharing that wisdom! I'm learning that now. It's part of the creative cycle...those terrible "down" times are actually incubating songs for when I feel ready to share ideas again! A Hero's Journey, they say!
You have great lyrics! Thanks for letting me try to do music to them! Excited!
Is there anything more terrifying to a creator than a blank screen, blank page, or blank canvas? I think not! We are all mad here, but the good type of madness :) The voices in our heads have purpose.
Thanks much for the listen and encouraging comment on In Peace!
Thank you so much for you generous comment on "Together", Geoff. The gist of the message is for Doug's benefit, right? You weren't talking about me to myself in the 3rd person? :-)
Thanks, Geoff. Justin did a great job on Together and taught me a lot in doing so. That Buckets Full of Wisdom, wow! Killer lyric, my man. And then how it came out as a song -- tremendous!
I have vocal dysmorphia :)
Of course, mate, happy to have a go!
I couldn't figure out how to add more than one collaborator? I'm sorry. I don't believe it's a possibility. That's why I added all of our names into the title. I just emailed you an MP3. This song truly has been one of my favorites--I've never sang about that topic before and I really enjoyed its complexity. THANK YOU!
You're on a roll Geoff. Enjoy yourself. -- kuya
I hope you like it, Geoff! I couldn't figure out how to add another collaborator, so I hope you don't mind that I added our names to the title. Please feel free to add any notes. Thanks again!!
Hi geoff! Looks like you're off to a good start. (-:
Have a great FAWM, Geoff! Glad you're here.
Yes I agree with the bridge/key change idea in My Balcony song. This was my first attempt using Garage band and I have not got past the first tutorial. But if I redo the song, you can be sure I would add some ornaments.
Not at all; we are opposites. He is practical and down to earth. I always have my head in the clouds, LOL. I'm making sure my daughter is getting a very good musical education right now--one I wished I had as a child. She can rock an alto sax in jazz band! :) I think she will go into the fine arts though.
He's getting stronger each day--thank you for asking!!
Thanks for the comment :)
:) I have buckets of hope for this one! Enjoy week 1, Geoff! May the muse be with you my friend.
I may or may not have tapped into the musical talents of a creative wizard named @davidtaro ... you know how songs are though. They have to take their own path. Soon enough @geoff61 :) We have a lovely surprise.
Happy FAWM 2022!
Hey Geoff,
Ah the old "dry spell" Know it well. I get like that especially after a great writing streak, including our lovely work together. So... let's just jump into the pool and splash around. :0)
Happy FAWM, Geoff!! I hope you have a wonderful time songwriting this season.
Hope you will be creating in FAWM!
If anything will get you back into the groove it's FAWM. Look forward to checking out more excellent lyrics, Geoff!
I had such a great first FAWM and 50/90 in 2021, wrote more lyrics in one year then ever before, some of my best too. Took a break at the start of December and now I am in a serious dry spell, I hope I can get in the groove for FAWM 2022
Looking forward to reading through your tempting lyrics.
