Influences: Jerry Jeff Walker, Robert Earl Keen, Todd Snider, Guy Clarke, Pete Seeger, Mike Seeger
I tripped into the Folk Revival by its back door: Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie. It took me a long time to dig through the crap of the Revival surge and find old-time string bands and early ballads.
And eventually I tumbled to the alt-country of Robert Earl Keen Jr, Guy Clarke, Todd Snider, Townes Van Zandt, and Jerry Jeff Walker.
I am a simple man with simple hands: another moron with a fly rod and a guitar.

No us Brits ears burn too! I hope it was all good thing ha ;) he mentioned that you might be interested in helping to put some music to some duet lyrics I sent him
Thanks so much, that would be GREAT!!! :-)
It is unbelievable how you manage to cerate something that beautiful in such a short time... I love what you did with "Blue moon nights" here, what a gorgeous, tender tune and awesome vocal delivery! The guitar suits the song perfectly, all comes together here so nicely, I am absolutely amazed at how the song turned out!
May I ask you for a favour? I would like to keep this song forever, also for the time when it will be deleted from this site (which happens every year just before a new FAWM will start). Could you be so kind to send me an mp3-file on my email address, which is

? I would be very happy about it... And once again, thanks so much for this fantastic song!
Hey! Thanks so much for your awesome comment on the "Blue moon"-lyrics! I would look very, very forward to it! Please let me know when/if you like me to add you as collaborator...
Kind regards,
Arthur
Another excellent melody! Thanks.
Well I took your advise and looked up that Due South song.....I 'd never heard of them before and I really loved em!! I am humbly thrilled that you'd compare my song to those guys!! Thank you so much!!! - G
I am so glad that you have been bitten by the FAWM bug, and I am glad to have introduced you to it. It's custom-made for you, and you're churning out some really awesome tunes.
I'm still trying to get the lyrics together for our collab...accent on the "trying" part. We'll see what happens.
No, it's great! Thanks for adding that alt-country feel. Right up my alley. Aaand I just saw your influences. All excellent songwriters!
We should make more songs together.
Thanks. If you let me know what you need done to the lyrics I can change them on my end.
Glad you liked my "Too Much Baggage" -
YOU SAID: "I always struggle with where to start the story of a song. It is never "at the beginning: "she put an overweight symbol" is the right place. Well done."
I have to confess that I wrote the second verse first and then when the second emerged it became obvious that it should be the first. This often happens to me, but rarely on a skirmish. I love them though. If I had enough time I'd do every one that comes up.
Welcome back!
