This year, I am writing a full album about my mom, who died in July of 2021. I also found out I’m autistic in 2021. It was an eventful year.

I have idolized female singer-songwriters since I can remember. I graduated in 2010 with a BA in vocal performance, but it wasn't until late 2013 that I began writing my own songs. I had the far-fetched goal of making my first album before I turned 30, but that birthday came and went. Then I discovered FAWM in late January 2014. At first I told myself "no way. 14 songs in 28 days? That's impossible." But then I couldn't get the idea out of my head, and thought "what the hell?" and signed up. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The challenge forced me to let go of perfectionism and just WRITE, and I was able to finally release my first EP, "Like a Babe," in Oct. 2016.
