Artist Bio

Influences:   The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, INXS, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, King Crimson, Robert Fripp, Mike Oldfield, The Velvet Underground, Daniel Johnston, Jandek

I play piano, guitar and bass, and occasionally sing. I am able to write songs when given the opportunity, but often have trouble getting inspired.

This is my sixth year of FAWM.

FAWM 2017: 14/14 songs. Half of those songs were older songs written before 2017, but I still managed to get 14 in. Most of these songs ended up on my debut album "The Beginning".
FAWM 2018: 14/14 songs. Most of these songs are still in an incomplete state.
FAWM 2019: 15 songs. This was a concept album about communication and friendship.
FAWM 2020: 15 songs (one blank).
FAWM 2021: 15 songs (14 complete songs, plus 1 placeholder).
FAWM 2022 - 14 songs, but I feel like I could have done a bit more since one is a private song (near blank), and another is an instrumental that later got fleshed out as a separate song.

I seldom leave "thank you" comments on other FAWMers' soundboards. Therefore, if you leave a comment on one of my songs, I will do likewise on one of yours.

Yes, I d remember your King Crimson recordings from last year. I bet you have read this article already but if not, it's quite good. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2022/mar/16/robert-fripp-difficult-legacy-of-king-crimson

  • @chrismyth02 Mar 2022

I'm sure we will, we make a good team look forward to another collab in the future!

  • @momentegalerie Mar 2022

Thank you for your lovely comment on "Stimmen" a song with german lyrics! I like to experiment with amps now. Since then I completely played acoustic.

  • @chrismyth02 Mar 2022

Thanks for checking out "Under" and "At Your Command"! Glad you liked them, I had a lot of fun seeing what @nadine 's instrumentals inspired in my lyrics/vocals.

  • @highmountain Mar 2022

Howdy, thanks for commenting on I Went to a Graveyard! Much appreciated.

  • @nadine Mar 2022

Thanks a lot for listening to my heavy collabs with @chrismyth02 . We will have lots of fun taking these songs to the max after FAWM. I plan to re-record at least some of the guitar and bass parts. My demos don't use real instruments because I can't perform them...

  • @wolfkier Mar 2022

#tit4tat updated. Expect me to come poking at those faves of yours in a few days!

  • @mattoxic  Feb 2022

Thanks Edward. The initial delete was accidental, U wanted to update the file, not delete the song, but I'm a clutz. Thanks for listening, Appreciated as always.

  • @klaus Feb 2022

Hi Edward. I've made the donation but asked not to get Rock Hands because of my Lutheran faith. It's not a big deal but it's one thing that I can easily do. Cheers.

  • @klaus Feb 2022

Hi Edward. Thanks for the comments. Looks like you are going to win. Congrats. And has it really been six years already? Well, my oh my, I can still remember when you were just a Fawmling and posted your first songs. You've come a long way since then.

  • @wolfkier Feb 2022

so "(his 4faves +1)" ??? does that work until you update?

  • @wolfkier Feb 2022

Ok, when you're good to go, I'll put
@edwardsmusic (will trade his 5 faves for 5).
It's clumbsy in the scheme of things but that's what you want, right?
Let me know when to add you to the list....Wait...
I'll put @edwardmusic (will trade his 4 faves) and you can tell me when to change that to 5.... I think that'll work. If I'm missing something, let me know.

  • @nadine Feb 2022

Thanks a lot for your comment on Dust! I hope this project will happen as full production. I really like it :D

I'm autistic and wow, Teach Me How To Speak is a song I can relate to. Love your piano playing, too.
