Thx for you kind words on the Butterfly Dance. You are correct the structure was semi loose but still with a purpose...just like a butter fly, always looking for the perfect flower but you just never know when or where they will stop or go? or just fly off....but their dance has a purpose

Thanks for listening to Second Chance and Lazy Morning! I was trying some new things on Second Chance (writing the lyrics first, building up the song inside a DAW before I ever played it through, etc.), and I'm glad it worked out. Same with Lazy Morning but I think it still sounds pretty organic. At least I hope so!

Your comment on "Pedal to metal" is very interesting. Indeed, you can turn some blues and rock'n'roll arrangement into piano or honky-tonky songs, but this is not the vision I had on this song. I want some real twangy 50s rock'n'roll with double bass and swag. No idea if somebody will help me with recording, because I just can't pull that off yet. If I find nobody, I re-record this in some years when I'm able to play the rhythm on an electric guitar and own a microphone for vocals. I hope we can turn "Dorian Gray" into a full production. I'm still missing a good vocalist who is able to sing and fry. The team for the instrumental recording will be very strong. I am looking forward to rock this cause it's an very interesting and dense arrangement.
"She's Contemplating" was a real challenge because singing and instrumental playing has never been my strength. Singer-Songwriting is just the opposite of my comfort zone. Thanks for your encouragement, I'd take that into account for the future, but I am definately not good enough to record vocals and guitar for real. No microphones, bad timing, bad pitch. I'm not there yet.

Thanks for your comment! Yes, this FAWM has been a weird ride through many genres and I appreciate, that you listened to many sides. I must admit, that I have been very frustrated, so most songs went straight into heavier styles or are full of black humour. This is what you heard on "Mättërhörn" and "Inner Demon". Oh there are even more song that happened right after a rant!
I think you'll enjoy "Take The Black" a lot cause it sounds like a A side of Blind Guardian ;-))))))))) -

Glad you liked my Gretel & Hansel epic. I had the whole song planned out until the log cabin scene but then had no idea where it was going. Then from out of my subconscious came the idea of the "witch" beckoning Gretel to join them. The rest just slotted right into place and the moral came as an afterthought, but I think it works.
