I am changing servers and providers so i am slowly taking songs down a batch at a time (about 12) that's why some are locked. I have kept all my collabs up and will until the site closes
Playing a lot more stuff this year that i normally write for others! Less stringed instruments due to health reasons, hopefully made up for with technology and tricks! Am mainly going to write music first lyrics last this year which is a change around. Aiming to not go over the top but aiming for 1 a day! Then maybe a few collabs and skirmishes. Lots of listening for my podcast! I do have a thick skin and seek critiquing in my network but these songs are demos and for fun so this is not the place

Hey... I enjoyed the show. You're a great host, you got a smooth voice. Great guest, very good music. Yeah, nice.
I discovered your podcast this year and just pulled up the latest episode….and discovered that you included one of my songs! So glad you enjoyed it, and I was thrilled to be included. Thank you for the kind words.
I’m embarrassed that I dropped off this year on listening/commenting, which is unlike me, but I’ve still been checking in to the site, and your podcast is encouraging me to go back and catch up.
Thanks again :-)
(P.S.—No worries, but there are 2 Ns in my name, “Flinner.”)
Thx. You very much. I look forward to the podcast.
Thank you for the posting info. I noticed that with some lyricists, but others wanted to addas a collab. But next tie, will do as you suggest.
hiya, nice to see you on MALM and thank you for your comments on Spaceship Coffeeshop :D
another GIMME15, maybe?
Hi John... Thanks for stopping by and giving my song, "The Jynx" a listen. Glad it didn't disappoint. : )
Ayyyy my email is aburozskiwork@gmail
No problem on Big Apple. It was fun to see where you live.
Thanks, I really enjoyed yours too! I'd be happy to chat more. I'll add you on fb :)
just keeping you updated. half a verse and the chorus to go!
sorry for the delay
I appreciate your collaborating with me. You always add a lot to the words.
Challenge accepted @coolparadiso :)
Thank you again for the collaboration shout out and picking my lyrics to work with. This whole experience has been a lot of fun and very rewarding.
Thank you for your comments! <3
Hi there! Sorry for the long #tit4tat delay. Work jumped up and bit me just as FAWM was ending. I admire how prolific you are both in terms of production and feedback. Looking forward to listening to your latest!
Thank you for the tit4tat count ! I just could have Looked at my messages and count the hashtags, lazy, messy me !
Hey you're way ahead of me ! I'm on for some catching up ! I rejoice in advance ! (I don't know a common phrase in english for this, so I just translated it word-to-word.)
A bird group, yes, please! And thanks for your nice comments. I hope I'll find the time to listen to some more of your songs soon. You really have been busy, hats off!
Hi. It would be an honour to be included on the album. You can keep me posted via andybalham at hotmail dot com. Look forward to hearing it!
I'd be honored to be included in a collab album.
Thanks for the comment on The Only One Who Knows. :)
yep. :)
Songwriting is a contact sport. The real champions take the blows and don't let them happen again. :)
Thanks for praising my song "The End"! Good luck to your new album!
@coolparadiso thank you for all your kind comments. As a novice songwriter this has been a great experience. Please do use the song. It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with you.
yes-- we can do big city. i have just had a lot of doubles at work lately and haven't been able to finish the lyrics, though i did ceate a placeholder. sorry for the delay.
Thank you for the kind comments. I have some music up now, just in case you can't find anything to listen to. :) Appreciate it!
It's been very interesting to listen to your different sides :) You don't have the typical edm voice but I think that this makes it interesting. I kept you in mind as bass-baritone doing singer-songwriting with a twist, so I didn't expect electronic music.
I've been very deep in that scene some years ago, but too many things changed. When I joined FAWM last year, I suddenly realized, that I've been surpressing plenty of talents by sticking in a niche that did not match my strengths. It broke my heart and so I decided to go my way and write whatever comes into my mind. I feel so much better. It may take years until I processed my heartbreak.
Cheers for coming back and listening to our duet. It was a lot of fun.
That's hilarious! Especially knowing how much some of those smashed guitars would be worth today, but I guess if Pete wasn't smashing them there would be more around.
I've seen a couple, but the worst fight I saw break out on stage happened between two brothers. One put his telecaster through the other ones (bass players) speaker cabinet and it got ugly LOL. The drummer and the keyboard guy kept playing... I was told it was a regular occurance after the show. They took about a 5 minute break and finished their set hah... so were at least somewhat "professional"
That would be a good one for a guitar smashing! I recently pretty well ripped the neck off my Jaguar having a little too much fun with the whammy while it had 14 gauge strings on it... Stripped the neck screws out. I wish I had been recording as it made a glorious noise! LOL
Thank you so much for your comments this fawm! Ever so kind...I may change that last line on Rich mans greed. Music to come!
Good morning to you. The demo for Toast is up, just in the nick of time: https://fawm.org/songs/137401/
I hope you enjoy it. It's certainly something.
Happy Fawm. Have a good year creating
Thank you so much for listening to my songs and all your encouraging comments. You helped to make this FAWM special for me. Glad to chat about musicals anytime! :-)
Hope all that flooding passes you by...good luck!
Hi Cool. Thanks for all comments. Sorry to hear about that flood you mentioned in the Forums. What's even worse I can't say bonza to that. :( :)
Thanks for your comments on Heavenly Bodies. It's funny because I started watching that the Magic Mike movie but never made it through it. guess I didn't get to the good stuff -lol.
I enjoyed my listens John. Thanks!
How about Serene's singing? She's so good. She sings with such a sweet and soulful voice. It's such a privilege to collaborate with her.
Awesome! Any particular songs you’d like me to listen to?
Hi John, thanks for the comments. What a prolific FAWM you’ve had. Are there any particular songs you’d like me to listen to?
If you are willing to listen to two more of mine I’d be game for 2 more of yours (4 total). I’d love to get more people to hear my collaborations with Serene. If you are game, please listen to As You Are and Feeling My Way. Thanks!
Haha! Sometimes you strike gold and the rest of the song has to be manufactured purely to share that wonderful line! Thanks for all your lovely comments too, I’m liking this Tit4Tat method of discovering peoples music :) you’ve been prolific! Looking at your song list it’s amazing!
You know what you are really good at? Song titles…
Thank you so much for our kind words on "Good and bad girls"! I appreciate them a lot...
Man...you are doing it.. got caught up in a new grandkid... which is cool and sweet.... Sent you one...feel free to or not to......sent it on email here...btw..all good...Davd
I'll expect you to write another for the skirmish now !!!!!!!!!!
Watch out for the next one then... although I doubt there will be many people around at 10am GMT, middle of the night in the States. Although the Aussie folks are awake :)
I'm thinking it would make a cool skirmish theme..... dare I ? !
i will try to get on the big city lyrics
Hey man thanks for all the kind words and support! You’re always a proverbial sight for sore eyes! This community is the best cuz of talented cool folk like you! Thanks for being a stranger that feels like family!
Thank you for your comment on counting birds… it was a pleasure to create.
Just sent you chords and a rough recording of If I were a god. Let me know if you want to do something more with it before 28 Feb or if I should just post it and figure we can do more with it later if you'd like. I'm fine with either. It took me a while on this one to figure out where it wanted to go.
You commented on @sherrycanary's defiant "Will of the Heart" https://fawm.org/songs/132639/ earlier (thank you). We now have Sherry's voice on it and a slightly better piano. Whilst there are some production issues which I can't fix at this stage, it's definitely an improvement over me singing it (!), if you'd like to listen again, or download the fresher version.
It is such a special story and I was born in 1973!
Glendale just posted.
do you have a theme or title that you would like realized in lyrics? it turned out well the last couple of times....
Thanks for the listens. You picked a variety of different styles. I am getting into more listening this week, but I think I still have a song in me.
If that’s an invite, then yes count me in :)
Nah, I don't think there's anything you can do. Of course, if you upload your music to youtube, Velveteen might be coming for you!
So this is pretty funny, youtube actually gave me a copyright claim because we played Wise Sage on FAWMtalk. :D
And yes Skyscraper is free to podcast, I've talked to everybody.
Hi there!
On podcasting: I only share final versions cause my sketches are only 30% versions. Seems like I won't finish any FAWM 2022 track in time. I guess it's the best if you follow my bandcamp then you get the alert and free download for the final versions of my FAWM 2021 stuff. If everything turns out as planned it will be finished around May. And no I don't spam around on Bandcamp cause I only upload full produced albums.
But I've noted that I ask my collabs about radio and podcasting...
Good idea. Thanks John!
Thanks for saying that. I get overwhelmed easily and don't know how to pace myself for these things! Having fun though! It's a lovely group here...
Looking forward to it!
I'd still love to collab someday! Maybe this summer? I'm thinking a Suzanne by Cohen style of a song? Blend of Leonard and Judy...:)
Thanks for the lovely comments and encouraging words, John! Happy homestretch.
I watched Lie To Me and loved it! Thanks John :)
Thanks so much for your comments. Your podcast sounds like fun. Where can I listen? It would be so hard to choose from all the miraculous stuff on FAWM. I feel like I stumbled into a whole wonderful collabroative fun house.
Hey thanks for playing my John Prine song. It is one of my favourite writes of all time. Feel free to play any of my FAWM stuff on here or another off my bandcamp.
I've enjoyed listening to the episodes I've heard and it is really weird hearing one of your own tracks on something else. For next time, I'm Canadian. Maple syrup, hockey and angry truckers.
Thanks for the comment on "Arms of Andromeda"! I'm not entirely sure if I nailed that nap pause bit, but otherwise I'm quite happy at how it turned out.
Thank you for the comments. I had a strong female vocal in my head too. Sadly that’s not me. Lol
Thanks for the comment
You were spot on; the Crash Boom mix was all over the place (never mix with tired ears!) The guitars are now louder.
John, Thanks for your comments on My Man of Few Words. I thought sheslin's vocal and piano really delivered. It's a mesmerizing performance, and I am so glad she offered to pick up my lyrics. I am delighted with the song.
Hey John, I just about have my studio set up - we still need to do our collab! Do you have a lyric with me in mind?
I know how busy you are (I can’t fathom your output, even more amazing with the podcast, listening and commenting) so I really appreciate you giving a few precious minutes to Colorado Sky.
Yeah sure if there's somebody else.
Jonni, I changed the lyrics around a little. Did you want to see them before I post them?
@coolparadiso it’s a small world :)
I'm glad you enjoyed my yodelcore nonsense :-)
I'll come back to you via mail concerning the real stuff for your show.
Got the lyrics. I'll see what I can do, thank you.
Sure, let's do a collab! Happy to write some music for your lyrics.
just emailed you with a little collab idea (emailed from my gmail )
-mike s
Thanks for your kind comments on "Be There for Me"!
Thank you for the lovely feedback.
Thanks for organizing round 3!
Thanks for your lovely comments on If I Could Change the World :)
Excited for what you will do with it :)
@coolparadiso just wrote this one after you posted. Let me know if interested or if prefer another style or subject
https://fawm.org/songs/132156/
Cool, thanks for reviewing With This Old Steel Guitar. I'm hoping we have a steeler on FAWM who can put it to music.
An offer to do another song with you? Don't think I can pass that up! Now that I had my first experience with actually production collaboration, maybe we could even do something where you could write some fabulous lyrics, I could come up with a melody and chord structure and sing some lyrics, and then you could do your magic to make it all sound lush and beautiful. Thoughts?
If you ever have time it would be a pleasure. :)
thanks for the clarification. i misunderstood, thinking you meant the song was about how cuba got its name.
is april sun in cuba the one by dragon? ill have to listen again as i dont recall a reference to how cuba got its name. oh, and thats me singing off laurie. she did all the music and her vocals first,,then i did mine, following her guide vocal as close as i could.
