generating ethereal rock music
i've participated several times before, but felt the need to create a new account with my updated moniker.
this year i plan to spend time writing new material and finally finishing songs from FAWMs past
it's also a dream of mine to write the soundtrack to a cyberpunk-themed video game. here's a playlist of tracks i've created in that vein, if you're into that sort of thing

Thanks for the comments on It Had to Get Out. Really want to revisit that track post-FAWM and clean up a few parts.
This FAWM I have actually been surprised by my comfort level with just playing the guitar and putting it out there. Spent a lot of years overthinking whether or not things were good enough instead of just channeling a feeling and letting it be. Still hard to not second-guess things but I have found that if I get in the zone for it, I can just feel when it is connecting. Several of my tracks this year have just ended up being noodling over a simple groove but I think they all have an aesthetic that I am trying to build that I think is coming through.
Goodbye Blue Sky, just had a listen and loved the chorus. Simple repeating lines. Thanks for the nod.
Hey there cloudrifter, yes, surf-rock on! Thanks for your kind words on The Flimflam, much appreciated!
Janelle Monae is great! Start with her EP Metropolis. Thank you for the lovely comment!
Thanks for the comments on "Arms of Andromeda" and "Wireweaver's Theme"! I've sort of been locked onto this sci-fi fantasy track which has later crystalized to a continuation of an idea that was born out of a song I wrote two FAWMs ago and I've been fleshing out a narrative around that.
I’m glad your wife liked it, thank you for coming back to tell me so! ️
Thanks for your kind words on Mr Spaceman, much appreciated!!!
Thanks for the comment about the chord choice! They definitely have some extra flavor, the recipe is:
(Capo 2)
Bm(11,b6)
D (add11)
Esus
Thanks for the comments on Reach Down. Working on track 6 so should have that up tomorrow. I’m possibly a bit obsessed with writing and recording at the moment. Every spare moment has been spent in the ‘studio’ the last few days. Also some not so spare moments
Thank you so much for coming to listen, and leaving such a lovely comment! I know ani difranco, I didn't know lucius... but now I do! Thank you! I hope your wife does like it :D
Welcome to FAWM !
Ethereal rock music? we could all do with a bit of chill down here, as covid panics flame on.
Welcome, and happy FAWMing!
