I’ve been writing songs since I was in my teens, but have had a break from music for far too long. I fell out with music and hardly picked up a guitar in those years. Since the end of 2019, I am starting to get back to it and I am realising how much I have missed it, how much I need it in my life and how much it impacts on my wellbeing. 2020 was my first FAWM and in many ways it was the catalyst for my creativity when lockdown hit us all. I recorded and released 2 EPs and a single through 2020, while also completely learning how to do so by myself at home. But more importantly, I wrote lots of songs! 2021 saw me spread my recording wings as I went back into a professional recording studio and working with session musicians and producers. I’ve loved every minute of it and how it has pushed me creatively even more. Plus getting to share fawm written songs with people. So this is my 3rd year, I hope to be able to get involved in some more collabs, skirmishes and listen more to all your songs and comment/connect with folks. I found that hugely inspiring last two years!
I’m going to be reviving the alter ego band I created for a challenge in 2021 - 'Mandolin Fire' will be making their FAWM comeback with their signature electro retro pop folk sound!!
Im also looking to experiment some more with character driven writing, I want to write a duet, and I want to write something completely out of my comfort zone.
Im also open to collaborating so hit me up if you like what i do and lets see how that works out!
One of the things i enjoy most about FAWM is the feedback. Please feel free to be critical and make suggestions on my songs - I'm 100% open to that! On the flip side, I will also offer respectful feedback and possibly a suggestion or two on other people's songs I listen too.
22 in Review - Ive had to smash through Sunday tying up all the loose ends of songs ive been working on with others to get stuff in a postable state. I had a big surge early on and a late surge with some gems in the middle, but life and gigs and preparing for an EP launch in a few weeks have kept me totally busy this month in all the best ways. There are definitely some GEMS i will be moving forwards with, and some collabs that will hopefully evolve and grow.
I release my music as an Indie Artist and am working hard this year to build my audience for gigs and new music releases so please feel free to drop onto my website, or social media links to see more FAWM content over the next few weeks as well as FAWM songs being given the full recording studio productions with the boys!

Yeah. I have a couple of tracking and mixing templates that I’ve used before so it makes it so much easier and quicker to get the tracks down. I’m messing with some different guitar sounds today though so will be tweaking the templates a bit to make them work
