Hi, Todd Phipps here..I'm a Hammond player and multi-instrumentalist in Mount Horeb WI (near Madison) who mainly hangs in blues/soul/funk world as far as the bands I play in go but I love to rock too. Married with 3 dogs and 5 tortoises. I enjoy cooking, photography, and travel...I pipe-dream about living part-time in Berlin. Maybe one day... ;)
Looking forward to my second year here...and maybe a collab or two... :) The world is still out of its damn mind...if we can be anything, being kind is probably the best idea. It's never a bad one... :)

Virtual FAWM over party for WI tonight 3/12 at 7 PM - check FORUM for details!
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Tired of the Blues'!
Lucky accidents are the greatest ones! I never worked with a guitar amp on vocals but I hear some folks doing this. Maybe I should even if I love to listen to natural voices without any effects but a very light reverb ...
Thanks for your comments Todd! Hope you are satisfied with how your FAWM went, gonna listen to your output now.
Happy Fawm. Have a good year creating
Thanks a lot for listening and commenting "At your command". I'm glad you enjoyed. The weird te signatures and grooves just happened. Unintentional prog you know xD
Thanks for the comment on Clear Eyes, Todd… the funny thing is that even though I said I used “excessive reverb,” I kind of wanted even more… it’s just that dials don’t go above 100% - LOL!
When you have the killer stuff you've posted, numbers don't matter. Well done!
wow. Thanks for the comment on "Time." Due to some sort of cosmic intersection of fates, my family and I were just discussing MT. Horeb and it's inhabitants before I checked the FAWM site and found your comment (my wife has family that hail from that picturesque town). Happily that led to discovering your excellent music as well. I'll not be a stranger.
Thank you for your very nice comment on 'Look, My Lady'. Much appreciated. (-:
Thanks for the kind comment on In Peace, Todd! Glad you liked the progressions- you’re so good at that stuff. I was trying to keep it really simple - wanted it to just feel peaceful and naturally resolve itself where your ear wants it to go.
Thanks for the nice comment. I need to check out more "Hatfield And The North".
Thank you for the comments and n “Compromises”. Tony Banks and Spocks Beard absolutely! I guess I nailed it. Neal Morse is one of my Hero’s “Flying Colors” is on my turntable right now. Thank you so much.
Thanks a lot for your comments! Oh yeah, I love how "Hollywood Queen" turned out. This is a great random collab.
Thanks for your comments mate! Btw. you're right, that is a Mellotron choir. I do love me some Mellotron.
And props for gigging with the Hammonds and Leslies! Let me know what your band links are. I don't have room in my studio for a Leslie (my brother guatecoop had at least one for guitars), so I just make do with the Lester K pedal, which seems pretty great for me.
Sweet - We have lived in Mattawan since 2004 (just West of Kalamazoo). I was in Stevensville as a kid and Owosso for high school. My son's girlfriend is from Wisconsin. Brrrr. (But it is freezing here too)
Here's my M100 from 2020 FAWM with CTS

Well, mine is a M-10(something). I would have to pull it out to see. It does everything I need a Hammond to do as a hobbyist. I have loved it though. I use it a ton. I would love to do the lower keyboard bass foldback mod. It is a ton of soldering, and eventually I might get the nerve up. Pretty awesome to have a B3! Where were you from in Michigan?
Thanks man!! Much appreciated… and I’m looking forward to checking your stuff out. I am a hack with keyboards, but getting better. I have a Hammond M100 that I got for $40 about 3-4 years ago. I just wrote and recorded a song on it for the 4-track challenge tonight and actually played it in one take. With both hands!! I had the Lester K pedal turned up a bit, although not quite Deep Purple grit, haha. I’ll see you around FAWM I am sure.
Thanks for listening and commenting! I don't know what made me put dragon riders into my lyrics. Sort of happened? But I like them lol
Welcome back, Todd! Glad to have gotten you "hooked" last year ;)
Hi, neighbor! Looking forward to the creative immersion.
Hey, good to see you back! Have a great FAWM!
Greetings from snowy (!) Berlin
