Influences: Carole King, Neil Finn, James Taylor, John Martyn, Nick Drake, Guy Garvey, Robin Pecknold, Beatles
Singer songwriter based in Leicester, UK although I'm spending this year's FAWM in Swansea. Had such an epic time last year on my first attempt, can't wait to do it again! All songs written from scratch this month unless otherwise stated.
Hi, Andy. Would it be possible to get the chords for Muggles and Fae? Please let me know. Thanks,
Sheila
Hi Andy
just a note to say the music is finally up for my silly LOVE song.

Hi Andy,
managed to post the Uke & Vocals to my song about descending through thick cloud on a plane.

Andy - Thank you. It is so spectacularly beautiful I love it, and still can't believe I helped to write it.
Cheers, Andy. Celine did very well with our collaboration. It will be nice to see how it develops. Well done on your output this year. Some real strong ones in there.
Hi, Andy! Did you ever get my email for the twin avatar challenge? Thanks!
Thanks for your tech advice. The problem is getting the recording off my Zoom H1 Recorder and onto the PC to upload it to FAWM hosting. The cable I brought from home seems to be duff. I tried to buy one today. But even the tech shops said no-one stocks them anymore (1st Generation USB cables for phones and other devices about ten years old.)
I was a teenager in the 70s and listened endlessly to the Beach Boys then and through the 80s. I was also a surfer on the north Cornwall shore (UK).
Cheers Andy. Glad you like The Spaces Inbetween. Don't know where it came from but I like it.
Thank you for your comments on my song for my dad. It was something I didn't want to write, but I needed to get it written. If that makes sense.
Andy, done! Just emailed you. :)
Oh,Andy! You made my day with your comments on Hit Man! I've never been involved in such an extravagant production! This was a real treat for me as just the writer.
Andy - Thank you so much for your thoughtful responses to Iron That Shirt and Head Over Heart Broke. I like your music a lot, and I'd love to write something together, this FAWM, next FAWM or even back in the parallel universe.
Cheers Andy for your comments on Wicked Wind. I'm hoping to work on doing it on piano actually but I don't have one to try it out yet.
I think that’s good advice. You can certainly overthink these things very easily. Thanks for the comments. :)
Hi, Andy! I'm looking for someone with the same avatar as me for the Twin Avatar Challenge (https://fawm.org/forums/topic/12255/). Would you be interested in doing a collab this FAWM? I can write lyrics, or add vocals, or produce... I'm pretty flexible. :)
(Ironically I came up with that challenge, but for some weird reason there's an anomalously small number of people that share our avatar compared to all others!)
Yes! Sometimes you gotta let it rip. Maybe my next song should be about farts
Hi, Andy. Yeah, I am working on a tune for "Witness." It's about halfway there. I never write lyrics without a melody, the melodies just don't settle immediately. Thanks for the read and the comment.
Hi Andy... I'd like to express thanks for all your thoughtful comments on my songs. They are kind and so much appreciated.
Thank you for the kind words, Andy! Much appreciated :)
thanks for your listen Andy - my little guitar was found in a junk pile - it's a Valencia TC11 - it's guitalele size with a very narrow neck
Thanks Andy, that song is all about the chorus. I'm not sold on the structure of the full song just yet. Very rigid in its verse-chorus structure. It may need another part, it may need two verses butting together. Not sure yet but yeah, the chorus is the steak, the vegetable verses will find their place to support it.
Thanks for your comment, Andy. It just sometimes comes out in a little burst like that. We both know not all songs come together so easily.
Haha, that was my favourite line in the song too. I had a lot of fun writing this one. Thanks Andy.
I LOVE it!! I've adjusted the lyrics so they match your vocals. Would you post a link here, please, and add me as a collaborator on soundcloud. It's been so long since I've tried to log in there I don't even remember my password.
I'm sorry, Andy, there was an error somewhere in the sending and I can't listen to it. Would you mind sending it again? Maybe as an Mp3 might work better for my email server.
Thank you for visiting my Muggles and Fae song. I'd love to hear your take on it! :)
I'm adding you as collaborator so you have any access you need. If it doesn't work out I can change it. :)
Definitely a bit of Thom Yorke as well actually. The drum beat (which is just a default in garageband) is very Idioteque. You've nearly finished the 14!! WTF! I've got a lot of catching up to do with your tracks!!
Thank you Andy for your kind message and support. I love your songs. It is easy to comment on compositions which are so amazing although no words can describe how much I truly love your work.
Thank you so much Andy for your beautiful comments and for bying two of my tracks! I sent you email (the one I could see via Bandcamp) before knowing who you are, not sure you've received it. Just was thanking you for your support.
Thanks for your comments Andy. There was a definite conscious decision to make it a stripped back sound like you find on Heartbreaker, an album I absolutely love. I think the style suited the content. There are some phrasings I need to revisit but I think the overall theme is quite strong.
Thanks for your lovely feedback on my Ballad!
Thanks Andy, I'm rather pleased with that one. I was just saying to the guys, that song came from nowhere and without FAWM, i likely never would have written it. I bloody love this platform. Going to have a listen to your two new ones now
You are very welcome Andy. I loved your first song. Looking forward to more.
Have a great time.
Nadia
Andy! Happy FAWM
Hey up duck
Andy! Wake up. FAWM is here!
