Influences: Styx, Tom Petty, Metallica, Pink, Journey
This is my first FAWM, but after my first 50/90 I am ready to go!
I am a lyricist. I most often write lyrics first but enjoy writing to existing music too.
I am looking forward to interacting with everyone here :)
Hi Andrea!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on tethered to the wind my collab with Donna Devine! Donna's lyrics really took me on a musical Journey and the outcome was so unusual and cool! Glad it took you on a little trip too. ;0)
Was just trying to capture bratty and lightheartedly the way it seems my 2 and 4 year old kiddos feel some days, and I can't believe I'm the only harried dad that gets that vibe. Meant to be funny and not a downer, so sorry if it made you feel bad. That's what it feels like to be dad sometimes, ha ha.
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Running Out of Time'!
Thanks for checking out HEY! Glad it resonated with you :)
Sorry. I just read a little better not wolf but wolfkier/gmail.com. anyway gimme time. On my phone now.... Thanks.
Yes. That's my email... Expect a quick note/question within a few hours.
Andrea, Thanks for your comments on My American Hero. I'm glad it resonated with you. The lyric was inspired by a conversation I had with the mother of a Navy Seal. She was proud and terrified at the same time, and I tried to convey that.
I see you have added some more songs...gotta to listen!
Thanks so much for your lovely comments on the songs I did with @lizbrinker - what a talent she is! And your collab with Liz and @richaaaay, Shangri-La, is beautiful!
Thanks for all your comments. I really appreciated them.
Do you remember sending me ‘This Is The Last Time’? I still have those lyrics from 50/90 last summer! Maybe we can revisit that one or something new this summer? Have a lovely spring!! Thanks again for your comments.
Thank you for recommending my collab with Liz’s ‘An Orchid Waits’. You’ve had such a lovely FAWM, Andrea!! <3 I love the work you’ve done with both Rich and Justin!
You are very welcome Andrea. Thank You for your amazing comments and support. I'm looking forward to our future collaborations.
Feel free to email me between now and 5090 if you need anything else, my friend. wolfkier/gmail. and thanks for the kind comments :)
and maybe you should in future add, "needs music" tag, yes, but "open to multiple collabs" .as a proviso in your liner notes... Some takers might seek exclusivity if they take it on... you probably don't want that :)
You're welcome. You deserve it! :)
no I really meant in your notebook/calendar.
Don't let it be lost in a pile of papers.
You can add a tag if you want but if you do that you can't choose your players..... Or you could add in your liner notes for the song, open to more than one collab.
Lots of options.
Thank you again for the great comments. :)
Well sweet lord - somebody's been quite prolific! Congratulations on the win!
Hi Andrea, thanks for all the nice comments. They are very sweet, encouraging and appreciated. BTW, Caped Crusader is far and away one of the best songs I’ve heard this FAWM. Love those lyrics and what Justin did with them.
Thanks for listening and commenting this year Andrea. May the FAWM be with you ALWAYS
:)
Oh, forgot to thank you for jumping in early on the "Tiny Grass" bandwagon. It's really appreciated.
Just wanted to stop by and thank you again for collabing with me on "Caped", Andrea. It's one of my favorite originals, and it would still only be a flight of fancy without your contributions and inspiration.
Hi Andrea, you asked me to let you know when I'd put music to my song 'I don't wanna take that medicine' for the Medicine prompt- it's musicated now!
Andrea, I'm glad you liked @paulharrison's version of Somethin' Better, as well as @metalfoot 's. These musicians amaze me, how they can take a lyric and turn it into a song! And even totally different approaches can work!
Thank you so much, Andrea. I have to confess, I didn't write my piece in an hour, not even in half an hour, I had about 20 minutes as I initially didn't have any ideas. Sometimes this happens, I just sit at the piano and play something, reject, play something else, have a think again and again and then something comes up. In most cases it doesn't work at all but sometimes it seems okay. Thank you for your kind support.
Uh, just so I don't ruin any expectations; it's not quite "metal" per se. I think it's more industrial-kinda rock-ish. Just thought I'd put that out there. *smiley face*
Ok do your edit magic
Aww....qyour comments on Somethin' Better were so nice! Thanks, Andrea.
Hi Andrea, thanks for listening to and commenting on Dazzled. I just played the song for my wife and she also thought Sesame Street and muppets. Very funny! You two are in sync!
Hi, Andrea. Thanks for your comments on A Lover and a Liar. Glad you liked the Call and Response aspect of it.
Thank you- I will try my best to get to it
Your comment on Orchid is one of the nicest things anyone has said about a song I’ve been part of. I’m not exaggerating when I say one of my dreams is that someone is that moved by my music. Liz’s lyrics were breathtaking. I’m a big sap—cry all the time—you’ve got my eyes watering. Thank you, Andrea. Truly.
You used the word cheesy not me. I love romcoms unashamedly!
Hey thanks for checking out my song which took an age to upload bit it’s there now - however warning it really is very flimsy stuff!!
I suspect I'm fast with words because I do it everyday, all year long. Lyric writing that is. Not as crazy as some of my FAWM ones though lol
Thanks for the comments!
Thanks Andrea for your thoughts on our song
Jeff9 and I had a great time with this song.... I agree his voice and way with finding a melody are awesome!
Thank you for the lovely comments
Hi, you are up for the lyrics morph!
Have fun!

Thanks for commenting on Sunset Canyon. Glad you liked it.
Hey, you've been busy! Thanks for taking the time to comment on Drag Me Down. I always appreciate your feedback :)
Thank you for the kind comments, Andrea. I appreciate the look.
Thank you for your words on The Lie. I appreciate you taking the time and your thoughts.
Ok - I really don't know what the heck is going on with that clip, but it apparently ends abruptly again. Not sure what's happening. I'll take a look at in the morning. Y'know...I could have gone the Metallica route, but after reading your email I recall you said something about making it funky which I took to mean you wanted to go that route instead of Hatfield and Co. No worries. This has been one crazy FAWM for me. Course corrections will happen. 50/90 awaits.
Congratulations on the win, Andrea. Nice body of work you have. I'll be back for more reading n' listening this week. The link has been corrected and ends properly now. I tweaked it a little (you may or may not notice the subtlety) so that there's a smoother transition for the guitar parts from verse to chorus.
That’s fine. Looking forward to hearing it. By the way, I have a Bandcamp page, and if Ok with you, I would post our collab from last fawm.
Thank you so much, Andrea, for the encouraging words on "Somewhere East of Nashville" and "The Waltz". I'm mighty lucky to get to work with both those fine lyricists. That goes for you, too!
I've just sent my message. If you don't see it please check your spam folder. Thank you.
Thank you so much, Andrea for your beautiful and generous comments on my music and collaborations. Yes, I'd love to collaborate with you. I've taken out the collaborations welcome part. I'm looking forward to reading your lyrics. I'll pm you.
It was worthy. You are crush'n FAWM!
You are very welcome, Andrea :)
https://fawm.org/songs/133563/ Ireland has music now.
Check out the one later today - S021922 Saturday 19th Feb 9pm GMT (1pm PST, 4pm EST) - number is the date month day year (all two digits) the letters come into play for a superskirmish when there is a series or I suspect when there are more than one on the same day.
Oh.. i am bad with the whole numbering thing .. but I think it is the date (numbers) and then a letter that denotes where it falls among other skirmishes that day…
Yes! Anyone can! Just follow the skirmish format and let people know in advance and post the prompt when it is time. In forums be sure to put in the skirmish section. There do seem to be times that some people have claimed and have posted for years… like there is always one at 2 PM CST on Sundays that a fellow FAWMer runs.
Hey! Thanks for commenting on Clone Love. I tried to give this lyric a futuristic pinch of salt and window on things while at the same time grounding it in problems faced in today's relationships. Glad you liked it. : )
Thanks for the comment on "Ascension"!
Just call the number in lipstick. You'll find out.
I did do it! Andrea, thanks for stopping by for a listen and commenting on into the well! Always appreciate input from A great writer like you!
KC
Thanks very much for your lovely comment on “I Don’t Mind the Cold”!
Andrea, Thank you very much for your comments on Friendship Hurts If You Do It Right. I thought Colleen did a great job on it. I find myself playing it over and over, and thinking of my friends.
I was just listening to Shangri-La again. What a lovely song!
Indeed Andrea. Such a nice comment. Couldn't agree with more about Serene's voice.
Aww bless thank you Andrea xx
Thanks for the listen and comment on my collab with Tams 'We Don't Have a Clue'!
Thanks for your kind comments on "We Don't Have a Clue"!
Thanks Andrea for your comments. I have to catch up with yours!
I hope you like the results….song is posted.
Thanks for the kind comments!
Many thanks for your kind words and welcome to FAWM
Thanks so much for the kind words :)
Andrea, thank you for your lovely comment on 'Never Surprise Me'. Much appreciated. (-:
Happy to give “I Don’t Want to Talk” a try… hope I can do it justice.
Absolutely….let me know if you’d like me to collaborate with you. I’ve been writing grieving songs for far too long. Would love to work with some joy filled lyrics…
Andrea, Thank you for your comments on Ghost of a Chance. I agree with you...Gwyn's treatment is very smooth, and I love the way he sings it. That chorus makes me want to sing along, which is what I always look for in a good chorus.
Thanks for the listen and comment on 'Something Wicked'!
You are too kind, Andrea. Your lyric on The Window to Your Soul is so good it just sang itself. But thank you for the kind words and thank you for letting me work with your on it.
Thanks for being nice about Suddenly Lost You Now - I was in two minds about uploading it but I'm glad I did. The current situation is quite confused so I'm not even really sure what is going to happen next. Hopefully things will clarify in the coming weeks. Thanks for your thoughts!
Thanks so much for your comments on our songs. It is fun to experiment with different sounds in FAWM. And yes, Ash's vocals are great in these! We always try and alternate lead vocal and both Madman's Pit and Carousel lent themselves to his voice brilliantly!
I think we collabed in 5090 last year so I was hoping we could here too!
Thanks for the comment Andrea. You've been such a great contributor in these forms. Not just your lyrics but your commentary is always so great. Appreciate it!
Yes, everything is A-OK, I've just been slow to update that. I'll do it right now!
Thank you so much lovely Andrea
Thank you so much for your kind comment on, "Clear", Andrea. It's funny because I know that "quiet music" was meant as a positive, but it inspired me to listen again and it was immediately apparent that the vocals were too loud! So thanks for helping me fix that.
Thanks for the comment on my rock opera song! I've pulled last year's songs off of Soundcloud, so pay attention here and to my FB page for the complete thing - will take me a couple of years to finish, at least!

Oh - and thanks for the listens and comments on my other songs, too!
Hi, Andrea. Thank you so much for your very generous comments about "Grieving" and "What About Me". Got me blushing a bit.
Thanks Andrea! I am genuine in my love for Shangri-la. It’s my favourite song thus far by a mile. And I have you to thank for originating it :)
If Os wants to take a shot with Full Throttle Ahead that’s fine by me. I’ll probably take a shot at it sometime next week. Nothing wrong with having a couple different versions. I’m dragging a bit as I’m not feeling FAWM so much this year.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my skirmish track opposites. That image is really pertinent and useful- I could imagine too as you say a cartoon or a silent character walking along and stuff happening
Well now - seems you're along rather quickly! Thanks for stopping by and listening. You got mail.
Many, many thanks for the listen and your kind and encouraging words...
Andrea, Just confirming on here about our collaboration! Want to make sure I've got the right person!
Thanks for the comments on The Truth, quite proud of that solo, thanks for noticing.
Your lyrics are pretty good. I checked out all the songs. You seem to know how to put the structure together. If I find time I may attempt to put music to one of them
