Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving the kind comment on Tiny Grass. I really appreciate it. :)
if there was one more GIMME15 would you play again? asking for a friend.
Ah, right back at you man! Lemme know if you fancy doing another zoom writing/social session some time. I seem to have booked up my weekends for the foreseeable, but a Sunday evening (UK) in April might work? And obviously hit me up in 50/90 :)
lol don't mind me - that was just a reference from the anime Gintama lol
Hmm, I had never of Jett Jackson before; looked it up and dang that's sad about the actor...sucks
Next FAWM if not before, sir, would love to close the elusive semi-loop (no pun intended) on this Indianapol --> London --> RVA thing. Or at least be included in it ;). Mad respect.
Thank you for the very nice comments. This FAWM has been a fun one for me.
thank you re Oh Hi Lo Fi - what a compliment! :)
Thanks for those comments and listening. You da man!!!
Hello!! I took your advice snd downloaded koala - my second to last track ‘whole meal toast’ dedicated to you!!
still gotta make it through all your tracks...been stupid tired and headachey lately and haven't felt like doing nothing but playing games (maybe the reason for the headache lol)
New York You Nork you gotta choose one. Lowell George Little Feat Tripe Face Boogie, I believe
So cool to connect with you on here! You have created some awesome songs - can't wait to hear more. You have smashed the FAWM finishing line!
Thanks a lot for listening!
"Diplomacy" was an instantaneous rant. I've written the lyrics in 15 minutes and I felt so much better after composing the guitar solo in my lunch break (and realising, that I need more guitar lessons and buy an electric guitar in 1-2 years). Singing has been very hard for me cause it's definately not my range. I've tried itin my usual range but it didn't sound good :( I look forward to rerecord this with my guys and real instruments and get a very punchy mix.
I just fell in love with @seppo bass on "Simplest Man", so I helped him on programming. And the "Disco Blues" has been a ping pong cowrite with @gm7 I really loved. Both completely new genre. I had so much fun!
Hmmm I just realised that most songs were written after a ragequit...
I remember now... I was going to send it to you and Fuzzy both after I heard that first prepared piece, but there was one pretty tragic and a not so happy mistake in the middle of it I was going to clip out first and then just got sidetracked... ah well, another time!
I'm absolutely always up for doing something together! Be it at 50/90 or in the between times! I actually had one track I was going to send you this year, to see if you wanted to do something with. I don't remember if I ended up doing something else with it or if its one that just didn't get posted LOL, but yeah hit me up any time!
Please don't call your songs silly. You have badass production, sounddesign and arrangement skills.
I listen to nearly all kind of music. Exept for experimental and slow / meditative stuff. My taste changes throughout time. Right now I enjoy metal a lot (and cannot listen to electronic dance music) but there were phases where I only listened to happy Japanese chart music or industrial techno.
right on, i'm on SoundCloud too. i messaged ya on there so we can talk through there after FAWM :)
Thx...don't forget 8.30 tomorrow nite..if there a change just drop me a line
Hell yeah, we definitely need to collab for 5090! Are you on any social media outside of here?
Hey, thanx for collabing with me this month and otherwise.
We'll have to discuss future directions....
Thanks for checking out my track and for the app tip :)
Ha ha, thanks, maybe I went overboard with the self-recrimination then!
Thanks fort the comments on 'Lost and Found'!
living as if i'm the elephant man; with a fat suit to boot
good thing i got hidden aces &my feet are getting lifted high off the ground
using heads as my stomping ground
k think i might be done really??? lol not sure what you're thinking lolz I keep seeing stuff to change still
done now i believe for now anyway lolz i had to change a few things still...
...
Hey thought you could do something with 'HEAD MY WARNING' LET ME KNOW... 'cause already sent it to you... lolz
Wow and just like that you’re done! Amazing! I’m down for whatever you might have in mind! Sorry I’ve been swamped with work!
DooWop song is up! This was a challenge for me, but right now I'm just happy to get it done before March!
Well said my man..my musical FAWM brother!!
Credit where it's due man, strong output for another year from you... awesome! Read the post about Feb 29th... glad you've got FAWM as therapy!
Ha! You like the Pixies thats family alone!
Did i forget to say...you are a bad a$$ bass player and your song production skills are PRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enough said! case closed!
man i am having fun.
A squire strat into my Fender 112 amp into a ME-25-boss pedal and a custom setting..EQ and some compression.= then into my DAW. I didn't mic the guitar this time. Then the guys did their magic.
Thanks for comments about R and B song. It’s inspired me to write a lyric which combines R & B and B & B - our English abbreviation for bed and breakfast
Thanks! I'll check it out in a bit.
sent
Hey I sent through those guitar parts again, check your junk email if they don't come through this time.
I am not sure if it is good to jump into a community if you're already maxed out. I may turn down ANY offer on collaboration until autumn. Or I say yes and burn out.
As for uploading FAWM stuff... well it takes rougly 3 months for a full production, so I try to work on 3-5 projects in parallel and upload one song every 1-2 months. This is my usual pace.
Thanks for asking but I won't do 50/90. I will be busy with turning all my hearted songs into full productions until next FAWM. I'm still not done with the ones from last year (3 are missing). So writing new songs will be very contraproductive...
Just checking the stems came through to your email OK, we now have a guitar part too!
Thanks for your comment on "Fit right in". It means a lot to me. FAWM made me write such lyrics. It's one of the less places where I seem to fit right in. Such a bummer this site closes in some weeks.
... and no you don't do weird music xD
Please drop me a line on Facebook or Email ! Awesome!!
Have sent you an email, let me know if you get the tracks and can use them!
Thanks for your feedback on my track ! Any chances to collab on something before the end of the month ?
Hey sorry for leaving this so late in the month but would you still be interested in helping me out with a song idea? Need some help with lyrics/vocals. Very Pixies-influenced. Let me know if you are able to collaborate and I will email through what I've got so far.
Haha no you weren't! Just look at me everybody pronounces my name wrong and it's not a nick xD
I'll never pronounce your artist name wrong after the last FAWMtalk again! Such a cool nick.
Got yer email.
Gimme a few days to think on it!
I have travelled to the dark side ..make the Uku be with you!!!
Ok great!
Yes, I did reply to your email.
I really loved your guitar work in our newest collab.
Hey! I was trying to download Chemistry (Lookin Up) for the show but it's not downloadable. Is there a way I could get the file? Cheers!
Thanks for all your kind words brother. I put quite a bit of effort into those tracks since it is my first collab project outside of us so glad you dig it!! love you,.
Done and posted!!
You've been crushing it. Love so many of your songs this FAWM.
I don't think it was on...sorry about that, Maybe they had so many submissions...dang.
FAWMtalk start in 1hr 40minutes
PS the FAWM talk is this afternoon If you have time to listen. I submitted the form....good to go!
A musically bond " bassed on strings" maybe a good pun for a lyric.
Great working with ya...I am having fun! Thx man.
PS if not that's cool
Hey Man
I suggested the song Chemistry for a play on "FAWMtalk" are you ok with that. If yes...just need to have to downloadable for them to play in their system. We are stars! lol
Thx a lot for great comments!
I’ve never done a collaboration before and would definitely consider it.
Let me know what you’re thinking.
I have absolutely no idea what I am doing with the loops… I just started doing that this year. I’ve recorded on 4-track and 8-track cassettes a ton, but not with loops. The 4-track challenge is very fun
Definitely take a look at the other five drum songs I posted and use anything you'd like (however you'd like). My collab list is crazy long, but I am knocking them off. I'll definitely put you on the list. :)
I love hearing what people do with the drums and that song was just amazing. I’ll be checking in later with everyone to see if I can put it on my Bandcamp album this year. So much talent jammed into one song!
Thanks again for your enthusiastic response to Starman Shall Die.
Gave me a boost and a great start to my day.
I am glad you guys got pumped about it sorry it's not as punk as the original. Love and miss you guys!!
Hey, I'm in the Zoom Room waiting for you!
This is a from lyrics that you commented on ty... It was collaborated on and is here if you wish to hear 'D Minor Chord' https://fawm.org/songs/130623/
Hey Nahlej
Glad you tuned in to the vibe on No Intention. Funny you mention Laurie Anderson! I love her work and she and her mate Lou Reed were my neighbors in the west village nyc for a while. Very cool people and goes without saying, genius in their own right, so I'm flattered you felt some of that essence in the piece. :0)
I would like to thank you so much for your beautiful comment! I was so happy to read it!
Howdy nahlej381, and thanks pard, for reviewing Ragtime Cowboy Joe.
Aw man your stuff sounds fantastic, really impressed. Drop me a message if you are interested in collaborating on some shouty Pixiesesque thing.
That would be awesome! I'll send you an email and we can figure out a time to do it.
I'm still a newbie as far as DAW's and recording, so I don't seem to be able to do the thinks that most people here seem to know already. I've had a few times when people have just asked me to do things, and I have no idea what they're talking about and don't know where to start.
Hey Nahlej! Glad you were diggin' my Daydream song from the skirmish!.
So for the partial 3 string capo my low E was open and ADG strings were capo'd. You can also turn it upside down, so you have your E and A strings for bass lines, which is what I love!
Twin Peaks is incredible, but I can’t say that reference was intentional!
I love that we have a shared song title! (It is a pretty dope title I can see why we went for it). Thanks for the comment!
Mea culpa. The sheep round here are so well insulated that we came to rely on full electric. Thanks for reaching out.
Yeah the boy done good
Sure, but you might have to handhold me through the technical part to make that happen!
I would love to do a doo wop song! I just have to figure out how to do it technically!
Thanks for those Devo comments - I'm a spud since 1980 when I had Whip It on a 45 (and "Turn Around" on the flip side https://open.spotify.com/album/7vGn7RvvfFPiZgBqvtGMp8) and made up synchronized dances with my sister in the split-level family room

Thanks! I’ve got a few sketches knocked up…I’ll send them over to you and see if anything grabs you!
Glad you liked Where Are The Children? Appreciate the listen and comments!
Thanks so much for your comment on “Shadows and Signs”!
Funnily enough I was thinking of a 80s disco pop type track when i was writing it. It’s based on the show ‘it’s a sin’ and that’s the kind of tracks the show was packed with. It would be awesome if you were willing to take it on, straigh-ish and anti conservative works for me haha!! Bit worried it might be a challenge to fit to music though, I think I over focused on the story and probably didn’t give enough thought to the structure (as always!). So I’d be happy for you to do a fair bit of tweaking if needed
Thanks for your comment on my waltz!
A Purple Rain NES??? I don't know if I've heard such an awesome combination of words and visuals before.
Garr Bear...I like it!
Thanks for your comments on A Seaside Chat! The recording was a with my Martin D-35 via an iPhone built-in mic.
Thani you for your comment on "First Frontier" :)
Thanks for your kind words on "Skyscraper". This means a lot to us. And yes, the bass really slaps! Thanks for listening!
