I started playing music in a band when I was 14 in Brisbane australia. Played the Brisbane 80's music circuit till I left the country when I was 19. since then have played, Dj'd, produced demos through to the age of 27.
Then I stopped and dedicated my life to working in design with my partner since 1994.
I returned to music in 2017 where I picked up playing, writing and producing with a friend @mattoxic from 30 years back, both of us scratching a musical itch. We do this transglobally myself is Spain, he in Australia. We have released and EP on spotify and continue to write and record under the name of Politricks.
After last years fawm we set up Logistic Services to continue the collaboration, check out the web, its dead simple to use.

Hi Sandro, not had any notice of Io...... where would it be? (the one accessible to FAWM thru Soundcloud is my original mix)

  • @erucaesounds  Mar 2022

Hiya Sandro.... BTW my email is [email protected]
'Unjilted' sounds good, I'll take a look in a bit, meanwhile I have a couple of other projects to take care of.... but nice tune! Perhaps you could dropbox it?

  • @erucaesounds  Mar 2022

Awesome! I am excited to hear what you do with it!

  • @erucaesounds  Mar 2022

Cheers Sandro, I just dropped the whole Logic file into Dropbox.... let me know if you need anything else.... I used Native Instruments Guitar Rig 6 for the guitar, the preset was 'Chicago Sultans'. Also on the vocals I used a UAD 1176 plug - in, unless you have that, you might need to use one of your compressors. Also I used Izotope Nectar 3 (Voice Of God) for the affected vocal.

Thank you for your comments on wrestle the wind & to the powers...
Much appreciated. I don't play the flute. The few flute notes are played
    on the keyboard.

  • @seppo Feb 2022

I normally am working 12 hours per day, but in month or two I'm gonna cut down little working so I could have a bit normal life too :)
Gonna make time, so collab it is :)

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Glad you like it, and I must add that it was an easy groove to be inspired by, so there's that. We can keep working on it, the guitar was a single take, I can probably do more, seems like the song deserves a proper mix (and not just the wav file of the complete song with my vocals and guitar added over the top). Perhaps I can send you the logic tracks or wave files and you can get them into your mix.... that would be better eh?
Right now I need to take a break, I am just coming out of a 48 hour session where I was scrambling to get the last 4 songs complete by the days end today..... mission accomplished!

  • @seppo Feb 2022

Ha! We have to set a date in somewhere in world where everyone must travel a bit :)
Or just a little holiday in Valencia ;)

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Cheers, ….now I listen to it again I think I should fix a few pitch issues (I was getting tired) just to clean it up, and sure, I’ll add a bit of guitar at the end… I almost did, but ran out of time.

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

    Hiya Kajati, here it is...
    https://soundcloud.com/user-593870127/io-and-calisto
I put it into Soundcloud (which can be updated anytime) but I have not put it into FAWM yet as I want you to hear it first. I had a lot of fun with it today (I usually dread the vocal job).
It was tricky figuring out the song structure, but I think I came up with something that made sense..... its now a bit of a prog rock song I'm afraid :) I only did lyrics and vocals BTW. Anyway, let me know if you want anything changed and hopefully get it uploaded into FAWM tomorrow morning before the deadline.

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Thanks for the Dropbox file, do not think I need anything else, just dropped it into Logic, brought all the tempo info with it. So I'll give it a go, I am not as good of a singer as you, but I'll do my best! By the way, the lyric is entitled Io and Callisto, a bit of a history/astronomy lesson on Jupiters moons and how they got named.... lets see if I can make it work

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Well, next time you are in Seattle, we'll have to get together!

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Ah, yes, I remember that.... sounds great.... I love how it meanders and how that required a guitar solo that wasn't really a guitar solo :)

As for me, by trade I am an engineer, originally from Jaguar Cars in the UK and then came to Detroit to work for GM..... then in 2000 I came to work for Boeing in Seattle and held a too-high of a position (i.e. way too much stress); I quit in 2016 and decided I would just be a professional musician. Now I have two albums and two singles released and working on album no. 3. FAWM is really important as it is the most creative part of the year for me..... the rest of the year I am mixing and refining. As to making any money..... hah! Last year I made $100 from Spotify (0.003 of a penny for each play right?)

  • @erucaesounds  Feb 2022

Thanks for your comments on Paper Crane. The guitar is a '52 Vintage reissue Telecaster, one that has a Seymour Duncan stacked hum bucker at the neck. Most of the song is played on the neck p/u but the central part I switch over to the standard bridge p/u, and I am sure you can hear that. I can get any sound out of that Tele!
For recording I typically use a Fender Supersonic 22 Head with a UAD Ox attenuator, but last summer I dove whole-heartedly into the world of Native Instruments (not for the faint-hearted), and part of that world is 'Guitar Rig 6' which I am blown away by. 100% in the box and it is really good and warm and analog-like.... I am thinking of selling the Ox even!

  • @panch  Feb 2022

Thanks very much for the comment on Just Another Shakedown. I will check out your songs.

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022

Solo cat recording in a bedroom lol I collab a lot but I’m just chillin in my home studio

  • @seppo Feb 2022

    Yes I can dude :)
Most of time I don't know of even care time signatures, don't know the keys or anything else of those boring stuff.
I just use my ears and feel the beat and that what counts for me.

  • @seppo Feb 2022

Thanks and I really need to get in logistic services asap.
I have been so crazy year and I'm working 7 days a week at least 12 hours, so music stuff has been bit off lately.
But it's always on my mind still :)
On that song, I'm writing lyrics and they are gonna be a bit rude. Problem is that on choruses I got a looot of things to say so I don't know can my mouth fire the words like machine gun

  • @engebretsen  Feb 2022

    Thx for comments!

  • @safred Feb 2022

Thanks so much for your lovely feedback on my track mate, really appreciated. Bit slower this year getting these out but hopefully will make it to the 14! :)

  • @seppo Feb 2022

I have me and my friend made version of Modulus FU-4.
Ordinal is just too expensive so we made our own version. Carbon neck, Swedish custom made MM-pickup and 2-area MM preamp clone.

No octaver, I just played 2 octaves and one harmonic line there cause I didn't had a better ideas :)

  • @imaginary1 Feb 2022

Gday Kajati! Ah man, love are one one of my favourites. Stopped listening after four sail but everything up to that point is fantastic: And you’re right, it probably is more ‘7 and 7 is’ in relevance than a post punk number.
    Anyways, hope you’re well man...
Look forward to catching up on your tunes

  • @seppo Feb 2022

Kind of big words those "best bass sounds in fawm" :)
Thanks man, now I'm on pressure to keep it up :D

  • @nahlej381  Feb 2022
